Programming language - introduction
The programming language in Mappings is used for defining complex record handling operations.
The language is used in several places of the System for:
- determining values (as an Expression annotation),
- determining classification of records in a classifying block,
- defining conditions in a Split tree.
In most places in the System which require writing complex formulas (value calculation, SQL, regular expressions) there is the smart syntax prediction function which may be activated using the Ctrl+Space keys (see: Syntax prediction).
