Release 2023-Q1
The most important changes made in the first quarter of 2023 are described below.
Automatic integration with REST services
The existing functionality to support the REST standard has been extended to support Open API 2.0. This makes it possible:
- sharing with external services the description of the structure of REST services of the application under construction
- automatically suggesting the structure in case of the desire to connect to an external service
In addition, REST services made available by the VSoft archITekt can be directly tested from the level of the automatically generated web interface - using Swagger UI.

Faster archITekt Studio Startup
archITekt Studio startup time has been reduced by more than 50%. Thanks to the optimizations performed, the startup time of runtime components (services and Web applications) has also been reduced.
Context-sensitive help in Studio integrated with online documentation
In the latest version of archITekt Studio, the context-sensitive help mechanism leads directly to VSoft archITekt's online documentation.

UX changes
There are new conveniences in the user interface design layer
- The Scheduler control has the ability to specify any color for added events, not only from the default color palette.

- When creating an application, it is possible to add your own icons / images to the standard set provided with the architect and use them anywhere in the system.

- Form designer presents more details of the containers used (container headers are displayed).

Documentation: best practices
In the documentation, we have added more sections on using best practices - making working with the VSoft archITekt platform more efficient. These include:
- Quick Start section - describing how to get started with the platform.
- Version server: a description of how to organize the version server and what rules to follow when naming directories and files, so that you can develop your project more efficiently as a team - Version server file organization
- Documents generation: best practices on how to build document templates so that they can be converted to PDF as faithfully as possible - Conversion to PDF
Support for the Safari browser
The Safari browser is now officially supported by the archITekt platform.
During this quarter, the appearance of the generated pages was verified, during which minor shortcomings in the area of HTML formatting were found and corrected.
